Contact lubricants can be greases or oils, specifically formulated to reduce wear and corrosion on the electrical contacts, switches and connectors. Contact lubricants must be insulated to avoid spark erosion, guaranteeing a long service life of the contact. Plastogrease 32 TF is a grease specificaly designed for electric contacts for low current switches and contactors (1 to 5A).
Electrical failures are a new critical reliability topic in the industry, and the bearings are the most sensitive and vulnerable components. The protection of bearings against wear and electrical current leakages have became a new objective for grease producers. Altis technology is a new range of polyurea greases, allowing a smooth and noiseless bearing operation. This range of greases contains specific additives in order to protect the bearings and increase the engine reliability.

With the reduction of noise from ICE to electric engine, the noise from interior components will be an important quality feeling from car users. Special lubricants are developed to reduce noise from plastic-plastic or plastic-elastomer contacts, avoiding stick-slip, and ensuring a complete chemical compatibility. Fluostar 2 L is a high stability PFPE grease for haptic improvement of switches and other control rotary commands.
Fluocor S is a range of PFPE lubricants specifically designed to lubricate high voltage sockets or plugs, and can be applied by spray on first use or during maintenance to protect durably electrical contacts, avoiding any relaibility issue. This lubricant, which can be used for garage, domestic usage or in charging stations, is odorless, colorless, and uninflammable. Among the benefits listed are the plugging effort considerably reduced, a high protection of plastic surfaces against wear, a high protection of metal contacts against corrosion, oxydation and wear and a long life lubrication.

Electric vehicles count even more electrical motors than ICE cars: wipers, seats, windows, HVAC, door latches… Special greases are required to avoid wear on worm and gear system as well as stick-slip issue or corrosion on metal parts. An electrical grease is also usually required to protect the electrical contacts. PlastogreaseWAC 2 is a special lithium grease with a synthetic base oil and friction modifier additive package, allowing any small mechanism to run smoothly with low friction and high reliability.
